Web App Maintenance & Support Retainers

Software requires maintenance. Dependencies age. Bugs surface in edge cases no one predicted. Features need small adjustments as users find the rough edges. A maintenance retainer with SynS Infrastructure means a fixed monthly allocation of hours — bug fixes handled within a business day, small features scoped and built in the retainer window, and someone watching the monitoring so you don't find out about downtime from a customer. No proof demo required: this service is available now.

DELIVERY COMMITMENT

Continuous staging previews from Sprint 1 with clean architectural handovers.

Who this is for

  • 01A past client who wants SynS Infrastructure to continue as a part-time technical partner after a build engagement.
  • 02A small business or startup with an existing web app that needs reliable ongoing care — not a full-time developer hire.
  • 03A team between engineering hires who needs someone to keep the lights on and handle the queue of small improvements.

What's included

  • ✓Monthly hours allocation — scoped to your product's needs (bug volume, feature pace, on-call requirements)
  • ✓Bug fixes acknowledged within 1 business day, resolved within the retainer window
  • ✓Small feature work: additions and changes that fit within the monthly allocation, scoped in writing
  • ✓Dependency updates: keep packages current, review changelogs for breaking changes
  • ✓Uptime monitoring response: if the monitoring alerts, someone investigates — not just an email into a void
  • ✓Monthly written summary: what was done, what's queued, anything we noticed that you should know about

Questions & answers for this discipline.

How do I know how many hours I need?+

We discuss this on the scoping call based on your product's bug rate, feature queue, and how quickly you need things turned around. Most small products start at a 10-20 hour/month allocation.

What happens to unused hours?+

Unused hours don't roll over — the retainer is a monthly commitment of availability, not a prepaid block to be consumed. If you consistently use significantly less than the allocation, we'll resize it.

Can I cancel the retainer?+

Retainers have a minimum term (typically 3 months) and a cancellation notice period (typically 30 days). Exact terms are in the project agreement.

Does the retainer cover emergency fixes?+

Yes — within the allocated hours. If a critical bug requires more hours than the monthly allocation, that's handled as an emergency out-of-retainer scope with agreement upfront — not silently billed.
